    Great for Blackspot

    By Roger on 04/30/2017

When paired and rotated with other fungicides such as BannerMaxx or Cleary's 3336F and sprayed every week to ten days Strike Plus offers a great defense against Blackspot on roses. Its mode of action complements the MOAs of the other paired fungicides to prevent the Blackspot from developing a resistance to the spray.

Q
What is the best treatment regimen for Botrytis Convoluta in bearded iris?

I have a large commercial iris garden and would like to control the incidence of Botrytis convoluta in new plantings. I live in the Columbia Basin of eastern Washington/Oregon, and this problem is a nuisance. Not damaging to established clumps, but can be a problem new plantings. Most of the incidences occur late winter to early spring. Problem abates by early summer. Drainage is excellent, and the field is in full sun. Soil is a volcanic based silt loam.

According to the Penn State Extension Office:  "Do not plant infected rhizomes. Destroy infected plants." It would be best to reach out to your local cooperataive extension office or a local nursery who have experience with Iris diseases and a treatment regimen. We do carry a product called OHP Strike Plus 50 WDG Fungicide that's labeled to treat for Botrytis as well as Cleary 3336F Fungicide.

Q
Can I buy a smaller amount of OHP Strike Plus 50 WDG Fungicide such as a couple of ounces?

All begonias I buy soon get brown spots on leaves and die. At the nursery they said they use an industrial strength fungicide which the public can't get. maybe it is Strike, but it costs too much for a few begonias, so I wondered if there is smaller than 1lb jar.

A

We apologize, but OHP Strike Plus 50 WDG Fungicide is not available in any other sizes.  Please be advised that this product has been discontinued.  We would recommend getting an identification of the disease you need to treat so that you can be sure you are choosing the correct product for your needs.
