Onslaught FastCap Spider and Scorpion Insecticide

Onslaught FastCap Spider and Scorpion Insecticide is an economic and easy to use formula that provides quick knockdown and long lived residual control of scorpions, spiders, and other insects listed on the label. This one of a kind formulation is made of Exponent brand synergist, Esfenvalerate, and Prallethrin. Onslaught FastCap Spider and Scorpion Insecticide can be applied in a number of areas both indoor and outdoor, as well as food areas (see label for complete list). This product is labeled for use as an indoor broadcast treatment.

Onslaught FastCap Spider & Scorpion Insecticide combines fast kill (action) and long residual activity against pests listed on this label when applied as surface or spot treatments, injected into wall voids, or as a crack and crevice spray in and around residential and commercial structures, as well as on turf and landscaping. Onslaught FastCap Spider & Scorpion Insecticide may be sprayed on any surface that will not be stained by water. DO NOT use this as a fogger or apply it as a space spray. Injector application equipment that delivers low volume treatments may be used to make crack and crevice injections or spot and general surface treatments.

Spiders, scorpions and other listed crawling insects Indoors:

Apply as a course, wet spray to surfaces where these pests are normally found. Treat floors, baseboards, around doors and windows, in attics, crawl spaces, eaves, corners, closets, walls, utility pipes, storage areas, and all cracks and crevices. Treat underneath sinks, dishwashers, refrigerators, stoves, the underside of shelves, drawers, cabinets, areas behind pipes, and in all places where these insects shelter. Contact as many insects as possible with direct spray. Repeat applications as needed, but do not exceed more than one (1) application every seven (7) days.

Mixing tip. Shake Onslaught FastCap bottle well prior to mixing. Clean spray equipment before using or diluting Onslaught FastCap. For dilution, add half the required water to spray tank, then add the appropriate amount of Onslaught FastCap. Agitate the mixture, and then slowly add the remainder of the water. Agitate the spray thoroughly before using and also occasionally during use to ensure dispersion. If you use a spray filter screen, they should be 50 mesh or larger.

Use Onslaught FastCap as part of an IPM program. Tank mix Onslaught FastCap with an IGR such as NyGuard IGR Concentrate to break the insect growth cycle and control future emerging insect populations. Do not apply Onslaught FastCap as a fog or space spray. Fog first with a product such as Riptide Water-Based Pyrethrin ULV to get the quick knockdown action of the fog followed by a surface application of Onslaught FastCap for residual control.

5 of 5 stars  Initial review on effectiveness vs scorpions
By Scott in Chandler Az on 03/02/2014
    Verified Purchase

Main Target Pest- Bark Scorpion I have used Cykick, Cyper WP, Bifen IT, Demand, and suspend polyzone for scorpion control here in AZ. Cyckick seems to be the best so far. I don't have a huge problem with them, but I have found the occasional one indoors. I black light ~ every night once the temp is warm enough at night to monitor activity. I spray onslaught for the first time in mid feb. I went out 1 week later and found a dead one against the cinder block wall. I don't normally see this even with Cykick, so I got lucky or this stuff works well. It is also cheaper than Cykick per finished gallon once the price drop to _ 60/ bottle. I will use until gone and see how well it control scorpions this summer.

5 of 5 stars  Works Great!!!! If you have scorpions get it!

I would really recommend this product. I got it for spiders & scorpions both inside & outside the house. I've only used inside so far but it works. I don't know if this stuff calls out the scorpions but 3 are dead so far. I didn't even know i had that many scorpions around. I live in a new development in a heavily wooded area so I expected critters, never scorpions though.

5 of 5 stars  EXCELLENT PRODUCT
By Mike in Reliance, TN on 11/07/2014
    Verified Purchase

We live in a National Forest surrounded by heavy forest. After years of paying $95+ per regular scheduled visits by a pest control company, we still had scorpions inside of our home. We knew something had to be done better than a local pest control service. After web searching, we came across this company and the product Onslaught. One application of Onslaught (2tbs) per gallon wiped out the scorpions & all other creeping critters! Best pest control product we have purchased. We cancelled our pest control service! We applied Onslaught on fire ants just to see what the results would be...killed them all dead within a few minutes! We highly recommend this product.

Your web site is user friendly and easy to navigate. The cost of your products are at or lower than others sites. I did find a sprayer on another site that was lower and I sent you the link. You then lowered the price and I purchased it along with insecticide. By the way, Onslaught Fastcap Spider Insecticide does what it says it will do!! Great product! Great company! I could'nt ask for a better outcome.

5 of 5 stars  Worked on scorpions for us.
By Levi in Gilbert, AZ on 11/12/2017

We live in Gilbert AZ. We deal with the bark scorpion. Since we have a 2 year old that loves to play in the backyard, I would go out every night with a black light and hunt for scorpions. I would find on average one scorpion every night. I would always kill them when I found them. That was getting old so I gave this Onslaught Fastcap Scorpion Insecticide a try. I wanted to make sure to really knock these guys out. Once mixed, I first sprayed in all the cracks of the block walls (that is where they like to nest). Then I sprayed a full coat up and down the block walls making sure I got 100 percent coverage. Then I sprayed and covered all the ground by walls (came in about 4 feet). Then I sprayed around the base of the house. Yes, it was a big job but I wanted to really give it my best. Then, time to test. I went out every night over the next 30 days with a black light. The first week I found 3 dead scorpions which means this stuff actually works. After that, I didn't see a single scorpion alive or dead for the 30 days following the application. I was stoked. After 30 days however, I found two live scorpions so this stuff when applied liberally, will do the job on the bark scorpion but you will have to re-apply every 30 days. A small price to pay to have a scorpion free yard if you ask me. Note, it did not rain once during the 30 days after application so I don't know if it would have needed to be applied again if it rained. Also, be sure to use a mask and rubber gloves when mixing and spraying.

By Alireza in Phoenix, AZ on 11/08/2017

Yes, this thing works and it works amazing. And it costs much less than paying pest control companies, who by the way may dilute their products more than the manufacturer's recommendations.

5 of 5 stars  Best scorpion killer
By Bryan in Chandler Arizona on 11/08/2017

I live in an apartment in Arizona and the management swore upon move in there are no pest. 2 months later I saw the most frightening creature crawl on the sofa. This prehistoric creature is called the Arizona bark scorpion so I was told to try Cykick it did absolutely nothing. I had to get rid of these things or move back to CA. They are the most creepy creatures. As it got warmer outside we were getting 7 to 10 a week. Massive infestation, they lit up like Christmas lights in the walkways. I got Onslaught and mixed 2 oz per gallon in a sprayer and went thru 8 gallons. So they are all around me but not on my patio or in my apt at all. I love this stuff. I can't rave enough about this wonderful product I now recommend this stuff to neighbors to control this problem. Its pricey but works!

5 of 5 stars  Scorpion killer!!
By Roland in South Texas on 09/29/2017

Due to hurricane harvey rainfall, my home was crawling with crickets which drew in the scorpions. Had local pest control company come in and retreat entire perimeter and still had scorpions crawling on foundation and porches. They told me to give it time to work and i told them that stuff they put out isn't even slowing down the crickets much less the scorpions. Sprayed Onslaught on porches and foundation and results were almost instant. Overnight there were numerous dead and dying scorpions and hundreds of dead crickets. These were the largest scorpions I've seen here, very healthy!! They were no match for Onslaught. Pest control company said to give it time to work but with scorpions, i want immediate results. The same night they sprayed their stuff, i saw scorpions running around on my porches. After spraying onslaught, the only scorpions I've seen are the good kind. Dead scorpions!!!!

QOnslaught versus Demand, Cykick or Cyzmic for Scorpions
To eliminate scorpions, is Onslaught the strongest, most effective insecticide to spray indoors and out? My treatments have included Demand, Cysmic and Cykick CS and Aerosol (aerosol for knockdown and cracks and crevices) and now am hearing about Onslaught FastCap Spider and Scorpion insecticide and wonder if it is stronger or the strongest. My thought is, if I'm spending money on insecticide and investing time to treat my home to ward off these horrible scorpions that I fear, I want the most effective product on the market. I'd rather purchase and concentrate on the best! Thanks.

AThe Onslaught FastCap would definitely be the best option for your needs. It is specifically formulated to better target spiders and scorpions with a more thorough and long lasting coverage for these hard to kill pests. Keep in mind, no matter what product you are using for scorpions, you have to create a wider barrier for them than any other pest around your home. For general insects you would treat with a barrier around the foundation 2 feet up and 2 feet out. With scorpions you should be doing 2-3 feet up and 6-10 feet out on the ground. Also make sure to treat any landscape areas around your home that they would be prone to hiding in ie: mulch, bark, landscape timbers, rocks etc. You can review more information for protecting your home from scorpions in our article on Scorpion Control.

QWill respraying Onslaught FastCap Spider and Scorpion Insecticide be necessary after a moderate rainfall.

QWhen doing an interior treatment for spiders, will I get better results by using a fan spray (close to the baseboard to basically just cover the baseboard) or applying a pin stream near the bottom of the baseboard using Onslaught FastCap?

A

When applying Onslaught FastCap to baseboards and interior crevices, we suggest using a pin stream. Fan spraying will be great for outdoors where you have a lot more surface area to cover.

QCan you please clarify the mixing instructions on the Onslaught FastCap label?
I was wondering if you can explain why on the label it tells you to mix 7.93 ml per gallon of water, but then on the next column it says to use 40ml for 1 gallon?

A

The first column of the application rate instructions on the Onslaught FastCap label refers to the amount of water that is diluted into a gallon of water.  In this case, it is 1 oz or 7.93 mL.  The second column refers to the area over which that gallon of mixed solution should be distributed.  In this case, the second column is telling you that one gallon of mixed solution will cover 1000 square feet, which works out to be 40mL of mixed solution per square meter.
