    Q
Can I spray this on areas that already been sprayed with Suspend SC?
We have ants (black ants) that are coming around cracks through our windows/windowsill. We aren't sure if they are coming from outside or from inside our walls. The apt was already treated Suspend SC by our exterminator two weeks ago. Could I use phantom to spray o the areas that he already sprayed on or would they cancel each other out?
    A

You would need to wait two weeks (10-14 days) before applying Phantom II Aerosol Spray to the areas that you treated with Suspend SC.  You do not want to over spray the areas and render the products ineffective.

    Q
Is Phantom II useful in killing larder beetles? Also, is this poisonous/harmful if it touches skin?
    A

Phantom II is labeled for beetles, though it does not specify larder beetles.  When treating for larder beetles, it’s important to identify and eliminate the infested food source and place all food materials that attract the beetles into air tight containers. According to the product SDS, If skin contact occurs, rise skin immediately with plenty of water for 15-20 minutes and contact a poision control center or physician for treatment advice.

    Q
As a non-repellent insecticide, is PT Phantom II Pressurized Insecticide ok to spray around bait?
    A

It is not recommended to spray any insecticide including PT Phantom II Pressurized Insecticide around where you have already placed bait.  You can spray first into cracks and crevices and allow to dry, then place the bait down.

    Q
Will PT Phantom II Pressurized Insecticide deter stink bugs from collecting on my windows and doors?
I'm looking for an aerosol spray that I can spray on windows & doors to deter stink bugs from congregating there. Terminix was using some type of aerosol spray inside my home in the windows and stink bugs never hung out afterwards. I am now looking for something similar. Would this be helpful in that manner? I'm tired of having to knock all the stink bugs off my front door with a broom before being able to go in and out. Thanks!
    A

PT Phantom II Pressurized Insecticide is labeled to be used on stink bugs however would not be a contact or repel them from windows, doors, etc. This is a non repellent that works slowly and goes undetected by insects as they land on the treated area. For Stink Bugs, you will apply to cracks and crevices where these insects may harbor, congregate or hibernate and around window and door frames.

For a quick knockdown aerosol, Precor 2625 Premise Spray would be a great choice. Repeat as necessary but not more than once a week.

Here is our How to Get Rid of Stink Bugs Guide for more information. .

    Q
I have both Talstar P and PT Phantom along with Gentrol Point Source. What is the best way to combine these to eliminate a roach infestation?
    A

You could use either Phantom or Talstar P in an area for roach control, but you would not want to spray both of these products in the same area. As a general rule for roach control, we recommend that you Spray Low and Bait High. Phantom would be preferred over Talstar for roach control because it is a non-repellent spray, meaning it has a slower kill on the individual insect so that you get some transfer effect back to other roaches which are hiding out of sight. We always recommend using a residual spray, IGR (such as the Gentrol Point Source), and a roach bait gel for the best results. We have more tips on these applications in our online Roach Treatment Guide. Please let us know if you have other questions anytime.

    Q
Once the application of PT Phantom II Pressurized Insecticide has dried, can I steam mop the floor or will that remove the residual?
    A

PT Phantom II Pressurized Insecticide should be applied as a crack and crevice application where pests may harbor, run or hide therefore if steaming the floors, we would recommend staying a few inches away from where you've applied as it will remove the residual.

Crack and crevice applications should be made in openings around pipes, sinks, under refrigerators, behind baseboards, washing machines, stoves, cabinets, around windows, doors, in closets etc. Please review the product label for more information.

I need an aerosol and dust to treat for bed bugs
hello guys i have a freind that has bed bugs ive been spraying his house with masterline for the past 2 months and the number of bed bugs have been reduced but ...they are starting to come out again i need a aerosol spray that i could use on the mattres and baseboards and on the furniture i was thinking of using cb80 spray ..what do you recoomend wich spray to use or a dust..thanks
    A
We recommend to use both a dust like Cimexa Dust and residual spray like Phantom aerosol. The Cimexa dust works well in wall voids and areas where Bed Bugs like to hide, but you cannot spray a liquid. The Phantom is labeled to be applied to cracks, crevices, seams, and fold of furniture and other areas, Please be sure to follow the product label for application.

    Q
How fast does Phantom aerosol work?
I have heard it takes about 7-10 days to work. This is fairly slow. Is this true?
    A
Phantom is a non-repellent insecticide that has a delayed reaction which allows pests time to get back to the colony and spread the product.  It can take time to work and kill off an entire colony depending on the pest and how large of an infestation you are treating

Can phantom aerosol spray be used in the kitchen drawers, cabinets & pantry that is empty as a precautionary measure?
    A
Phantom is labeled to be used in food handling areas, but per the Label, it cannot be used in kitchen cabinets. You can use a product like Cy-kick Aerosol in the cracks and crevices of the cabinets. Be sure that all food and food handling items are removed.

    Q
How do you clean up a stain Phantom Aerosol Spray left on my couch?
I used Phantom aerosol for crack & crevice treatment on our leather couch with wooden legs. I was under the impression that this product does not stain and goes on clear according to the label. The next day, my couch was ruined. It seems like a white residue has formed where the product was sprayed. Is this normal? What should we do? Is this something that can come off or has the chemical penetrated and stripped the materials? Please advise. Thank you.
    A
Phantom Aerosol Spray does not stain, when applied as directed. It is only labeled to be applied to seems and folds of furniture, mattresses, etc. Please contact BASF 800-526-1072 for further assistance with removing a stain.

    Q
Will Phantom do a quick knockdown specifically on yellow jackets and can you use this inside wall void
    A
Phantom does not provide a quick knock down. Please check out our article "How to Get Rid of Yellow Jackets". If you can get to the openings where the yellow jackets are coming in and out from we highly recommend applying a dust like Tempo 1% Dust and when the yellow jacket comes in contact with it, the dust will transfer from yellow jacket to yellow jacket and kill off the entire nest. Be sure to make your application in early morning/late evening when they are less active. You can also use Wasp Freeze for any straglers.

Can I use Phantom Aerosol Spray around light fixtures on the ceiling?
I believe there are silverfish and spiders coming out of the light fixtures since I always see them on the ceilings.
    A
You can use Phantom around the light fixture as long as you take care not to spray it directly onto exposed wiring or electrical components as it is a liquid.
