Besides not being labeled for use as a surfactant or spreader sticker, even a small amount of dish soap would cause foaming in your spray equipment, which would interfere with your spraying and possibly cause the need for extensive cleaning of your equipment. Results from dish soap as a surfactant would be inconsistent, possibly causing you to waste product (and the time you took to apply it) with limited results. Dish detergents may also cause increased phytotoxicity (burning or other damage) to desirable plants, especially during the hot summer months when post-emergent herbicides are often used.
