Details

The Durana and Patriot White Clovers along with other legumes in this mixture are pre-inoculated so they will produce nitrogen and share it with the other plants, reducing the amount of expensive commercial nitrogen needed. These legumes produce as much as 100 lbs. of free nitrogen per acre per year for the food plot.

Method: Prepare a smooth, firm seedbed by plowing and dragging the soil. This will remove all vegetation and debris from the site thus eliminating competition. Fertilizer and lime can be applied during this step so it can be worked into the soil. Before seeding remember to firm the soil with a cultipacker or light drag or cultipacker, cover the seed no deeper than 1/4". Making good seed to soil contact is the key to establishing a productive food plot.

    awesome product

    By Brandon on 03/28/2017

This was the first blend I ever planted about five years ago. The stand was amazing and every year it was the first plot to green up. I would mow it once or twice every year and it would continue to provide great food for the deer, turkey and rabbits on my property. I tilled it under last spring to plant another blend which later I regretted because we had a extremely dry summer and not a lot grew and before tilling the plot was still a beautiful stand of clover and chicory, live and learn I guess. I purchased the elite again this year because for me this was by far the best results along with the fall and winter deluxe mix I planted in the neighboring plot. When I planted these two mixes the elite in the spring and in the neighboring plot fall and winter deluxe in the early fall I had more dear on that end of my property (consistently) then I have ever seen in my life. Hope this helps anyone on the fence about this product. As another advantage the grain is nice and tall which I believe makes the wildlife feel more secure during daytime hours.

    Rackmaster Elite

    By Gail on 03/28/2016

pretty expensive for mostly oats and wheat! does not work well in spreader. Have to set for largest seeds and end up not evenly spreading the smaller seeds.
