  • Asked by Lisa from Starkville, Ms
    03/09/2015
    Q
Will the addition of a surfactant to Reward herbicide harm or kill my fish?
I want to purchase Reward to treat my pond for unwanted pond grass growing from the bottom. I have heard that the some people add surfactant to the reward solution to make the product stick to the unwanted weeds better but that it can also stick to your fish's gills and cause the fish harm and possibly kill them. I have a one acre catfish pond. Should I add the surfactant or skip it?
    A
Yes, using a surfactant with the Reward Herbicide will increase the penetration of the product throughout the entire plant for faster results.

    Q
Will Reward Landscape and Aquatic Herbicide kill my new Grass Carp 10"?
1/2 acre pond lots of milfoil weeds. I also have new this year bass, catfish, bluegill, and shellcrackers
    A

When appliying Reward Landscape and Aquatic Herbicide, you need to be sure not to treat your entire pond all at once. Doing so will probably result in dead fish. Treat about 1/4 to 1/2 of your pond at a time - following the product label, and your fish should be fine. This will certainly take care of the milfoil weeds you have.

    Q
Will the Reward Landscape and Aquatic Herbicide kill trout or trees?
    A
Reward herbicide is fast acting and broad spectrum on submersed weeds, especially effective on elodea, Eurasian watermilfoil, coontail and duckweed. Recommended highly for ponds and along lakeshore areas. It is absorbed by target plants in just minutes with no toxicity to fish or wildlife. • Asked by Danny from Terrell
    03/01/2017
    Q
What are the mixing instructions for Reward Landscape and Aquatic Herbicide?
How to mix for water primrose
    A

The amount of Reward Landscape and Aquatic Herbicide to water ratio will depend on what you are treating and the type of area you are treating. We always have the product label available on our website for your convenience. The product label on our site contains the same information that is in the booklet that you received with the product. The Product label also states that the amount of product you use will vary by whether you are doing a spot or broadcast treatment. Keep in mind, for herbicides the amount of water you use is not as important as getting the correct amount of product over the correct amount of area. The water acts as the carrier so whether its in 2, 15,50 or 100 gallons, all are correct if you properly disperse it.

However, water primrose is not on this product label.

How often can I spray Reward and Surfactant on my lake for Duckweed?
I am spraying sections at a time, to protect wildife.
    A

For spot treatments using Reward Herbicide, you can re-apply every 2 weeks as needed. If you are doing a broadcast treatment, the label does not specify a time frame in between applications, however, we would recommend waiting at least 2 weeks to do another broadcast application so that the product has time to work.
