Ken from St Cloud writes

Should I use Gentrol Concentrate first for roach control?

When one has German roaches, my understanding is that you apply gentrol and wait 10-14 days to allow the sterilant to halt reproduction before you commence baiting. Baiting before that seems counter intuitive in my mind. You don't want to kill off the carriers before you've exposed the whole colony. Is my logic flawed?

Answer:

When dealing with an active infestation of roaches, we recommending using a roach bait gel, a residual insecticide, and an IGR altogether for best results. Each of these products attacks the infestation in different ways, and since roaches reproduce very quickly and require very little food and water to thrive, you want to come at the infestation with everything you have for fastest results. Keep in mind, too, that most of the roaches in a structure are out of site, so the population is much bigger than just what you see. We recommend taking a few moments to review our Roach Treatment Guide for more tips. We also sell all these products together in our Roach Control Kits. Please let us know if you have further questions.
