Should I use Prodiamine 65 WDG now in April and overseed in September for poa annua control?

i have poa annua after a total kill and reno tall fescue looks great but poa is throughout i had a great looking mostly tall fescue yard the poa annua has now invaded and I know they say it will die in next few heated months in va beach here. should i try to put this down the poa is throughout frontyard and sparse in backyard. i was also looking at tenacity

Answer:

Both Prodiamine 65 WDG and Tenacity Herbicide are labeled for Poa Annua. Prodiamine 65 WDG should be able to better control Poa Annua, just follow the label instructions. Make sure the product is labeled to be tolerated by your turf and check for the best time in Fall for application with your local Cooperative Extension Office. You want to wait 6-8 weeks after Prodiamine 65 WDG (Generic Barricade) application to overseed.
