    Is Snake Away kid and pet safe?
    I have an area locally that is being overrun with rattlesnakes. I am a pest technician I am curious on if this is pet and kid safe to be around to put in backyards to border the property to keep the snakes out?

    Is Snake Away effective for copperheads?
    A
    Snake Away is mainly labeled for rattlesnakes and garter snakes.  However, when testing this product, if a snake was not deterred by the product more than 90% of the time, then they did not place that snake on the label.  Copperheads were deterred 87.5% of the time, but since it was not a 90% rating, the company could not place copperheads on the label.  That being said, the company said the product is still worth using for copperheads because it does repel copperhead snakes 87.5% of the time.

    What is the repel percentage for gopher snakes when using Snake Away?
    A
    Unfortunately the manufacturer could not test their product for every species of snake so they just chose the snakes that seemed to be of the greatest nuisance to their customer base. You can see the chart of snakes they did test Snake Away on by scrolling to the bottom of the Snake Away product page on our website. Gopher snakes are not on the list but what the research did find is that almost all snakes were repelled to a point that using Snake Away would be advantageous in most cases.

    Will this product harm dogs or cats?
    I have boths dogs and cats that go outside and play in the yard, I want to know if this product with hurt them? Will it bother them i they lick it off their paws?
    A
    Most pets would be repelled by this product in addition to snakes.  That being said, it can be harmful to pets if consumed.  You should do what you can to keep them away as much as possible from the product.

    Can Snake Away be used in Ponds
    5 acre pond has snakes, just need to get rid of them.
    A
    Snake Away is extremely toxic to fish and aquatic life and cannot be used directly in water. Also, if water moccasins and copperheads are your target, Snake Away states on the label that this product may not work on these types of snakes. You may want to resort to trapping the snakes or grabbing them with Snake Tongs when you see them and remove them to new location.

    Why doesn't the Snake Away work as well on Copperhead snakes? That is our main problem at the moment.
    A
    The manufacturer has tested the Snake Away against Copperhead snakes and does state that is very effective against this type of snake.  We are not sure why you are not having success with the product.  If you could please contact us at 1-866-581-7378 during our normal business hours we would be happy to help troubleshoot the issue with you and get further information.

    What product do you recommend for snakes around pool area outside of fence?
    A
    To keep snakes out of the pool area, we recommend using the Snake Away. You can apply this product around the perimeter of the fence to repel snakes.

    Can this be used in a high pitch attic?

    No, Snake Away is not labeled to repel lizards. We do carry Bonide Snake Stopper which is now labeled to repel lizards.

    I live in helotes texas and saw a small brown snake or baby. What would u recommend? Also I have little dogs.

    You can use Snake Away. You want to treat 3 sides with Snake Away. This way you leave one area for the snakes to exit

    If some put Snake A Way 28 lbs. in attic, can the smell make you sick?

    Snake A Way 28 lbs. is labeled to be used outdoors only.  While there is no active poisons in the product, it does have an odor that can be found offensive to people, so it can certainly effect people that are sensitive to smells.
