    Q
Is there a product to Kill poison ivy and brush, but not trees?
Hello, need some help. Do you have a good product you would recommend that would kill brush overgrowth and poison ivy, but not harm the surrounding young & mature oak, pine trees, etc? Some that hopefully wouldn't harm the grass surrounding the area either. Thank you in advance for your help!
    A
Unfortunately, there is not a product made to kill plants like ivy that would not also affect trees or turf. You could use a product such as Southern Ag Brush Killer as a foliar spray or painted on to cut plant surfaces, just be careful not to treat desirable plants when making these applications. This product does not, however, translocate through the ground to other plants that have not come into contact with the product.

    Q
Will Southern Ag Bush Killer kill goat weed in my Bermuda grass?
If so, what time of year should I spray? They bloom later in the year. Will it kill my Bermuda grass?
    A

Although a triclopyr herbicide such as Southern Ag Brush Killer may control goatweed, this herbicide is not labeled to control this plant, nor is it labeled for use in home lawns. If you are referring to goatweed (Scoparia dulcis), then you will likely need to spot treat using a non-selective herbicide like RoundUp QuikPro. If you are referring to goathead/puncturevine (Tribulus terrestris), then you can use a pre-emergent called Surflan to prevent this weed in warm-season turf like Bermuda and around many established ornamental plants.

    Q
Will Southern Ag Brush Killer work on Hackberry - Silver Maple Saplings?
Will this product kill Hackberry and Silver Maple. I have several Hackberry trees that keep growing up through a fence. I cut them back and they grow back. Looking for a product I can apply that will kill them.
    A
The Southern Ag Brush Killer does not specifically state Hackberry-Silver Maple Saplings on the label, however it has Maples in general in trees covered. If the root system is hearty, you will want to cut the saplings down as low to the ground and you can get them. Once cut, immediately apply the brush killer either at 8 ounces per gallon and spray it on, or paint it on undiluted. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
