Excellent Animal Trap
By R in VA on 09/12/2011
I found the trap sturdy and easy to use. Trapped animals were easily removed through the rear sliding door. This was especially helpful when I trapped a skunk.

We live in a small town, with a woods behind our house. Realized we had many cats. We like cats and were feeding them. We did not know about ferel cats, but through talking to several people and studying video's on line, we realized we had a fast growing problem. After talking to our county animal recovery people, we realized we needed to trap some. We bought a trap at a local store that was made so cheaply and didn't work. After returning the trap, we got on line and ordered your trap. Worked Great!!!! We are cleaning up the woods.

Rear Sliding Door worth the extra cost
By Teresa in Aptos, Ca. on 08/08/2012
Other traps without the rear sliding door make removing a wild cat difficult. A rear sliding door makes the job much easier and is well woth the additional cost. You do not risk being scratched as you would when you attempt to open the trap door on the standard trap.

Works Amazingly and Simply!
By Cathi in Mountain Home, AR on 09/02/2015
I was afraid to use this at first, as it looks a bit medieval, but once I viewed the tutorial vid and practiced setting it, I was amazed at how easily and well it worked. Used it to capture and transport a colony of feral cats a few miles down the road where I can continue being their caregiver.

Caught 5 Wild Rabbits in First 6 Days
By Jim in Millbury, MA on 08/09/2017
What works beside the cage mechanics is the recommended use of carrots and lettuce for rabbits but also spraying the cage with apple cider - that drew them. After catching, released to park about 3 miles away. Have gone 2 days without sighting a rabbit.

QWhat is the best way to get rid of rabbits?
I have too many rabits and eat my roses and many other plants
ARabbits can be hard to control because they reproduce quickly and stay hidden much of the time. Trapping and removing rabbits from your property is the only sure way to stop them from eating plants. There are several baits that work well to lure rabbits into rabbit traps. Brussels sprouts, carrots, lettuce, or apples would all be good choices. Some trappers even swear by spraying the inside of the trap with apple cider to help lure the rabbits in. You should check with local authorities to see if you can release the animals in a new location or if they must be destroyed. Another option would be to try a rabbit repellent such as Liquid Fence for Rabbits. Repellents, depending on the brand would need to be applied every 1-4 weeks to help keep the rabbits from coming into the treated areas.
QWhat is the best rabbit bait?
Can we buy less than $100 worth?
AThere are several baits that work well to lure rabbits in to the Deluxe Cat/Rabbit Animal Trap TLT606. Brussel sprouts, carrots, lettuce, or apples would all be good choices. Some trappers even swear by spraying the inside of the trap with apple cider to help lure the rabbits in. We are not sure what you mean by 'Can we buy less than $100 worth'?. You can buy as little or as much product as you like on our site. Shipping is always free, no matter the size of the order.

QDoes the Tomahawk 606 trap have an option to "manually" close the trap door? - I have two kittens that I need
to catch, and I don't want one of them springing the door closed without them both being inside. I read that this 606 model has the option of putting a "water bottle with a string attached" so I can manually spring it shut once both kittens are inside...
AAccording to the manufacturer you could potentially sit by the trap and hold the door open so it would not spring shut when an animal enters the trap. The manufacturer was not aware of the "water bottle with a string attached" method and we have not heard of it either and we are not sure if it would work with this trap. You could possibly put a trail of bait inside the trap (a little bait near the front of the trap, a little bait in the middle and finally a little more bait in the back of the trap on/near the trigger plate) which could give the slower kitten time to walk into the trap and then as they progress to eating the bait placements in the rear of the trap it would spring closed.
QWill the Deluxe Cat/Rabbit Animal Trap with Rear Sliding Door - Model TLT606 trap all kinds of dogs?
AThis particular Tomahawk Transfer Trap with Rear Sliding Door TLT606 will be more suited for cats, rabbits and other similarly size animals. This trap measures 26in x 9in x 9in. We do carry a trap called the Tomahawk Deluxe Trap with Rear Sliding Door - Model 609.5 that would be suitable for small to medium size dogs.
