    Is Vector Bio-5 Multi-Purpose Drain Cleaner considered a non-toxic product?

    No, Vector Bio-5 Multi-Purpose Drain Cleaner is not considered non-toxic just as other household cleaners are also not considered non-toxic. Vector Bio-5 Multi-Purpose Drain Cleaner does have some level of toxicity but is generally deemed safe as long as they are used according to the label instructions and kept out of reach of children and pets.

    Do you use Vector Bio-5 Multi-Purpose Drain Cleaner full strength? How much do you use per drain?
    How often is this product used in the drain?

    Yes, Vector Bio-5 Multi-Purpose Drain Cleaner is used full strength.  The application instructions are below.  

    CLEAN-OUT: Apply 4-8 ounces per drain. Repeat as necessary. For faster results flush with 2-4 gallons of water.

    MAINTENANCE: Apply 2-4 ounces per drain. Repeat as necessary. Recommended 1-2 applications per month.

    Will Vector Bio-5 Multi-Purpose Drain Cleaner get rid of drain flies ?
    What about fruit flies? Can you recommend something for fruit flies also?
    A

    Vector Bio-5 Multi-Purpose Drain Cleaner is used for drain sanitation and to remove organic matters, offensive odors and will help deter breeding sites to prevent reinfestation of pests. This is an important step in eliminating Drain Flies as the organic matter build up is their breeding ground. Treatments should be done every night for 7 consecutive nights. 

    It can take several weeks to get rid of drain flies and the length of the treatment will depend on the level of debris built up in the drain, the number of drains infested and the level of infestation before the treatment is started.

    For treating Fruit Flies, you need to find their food source. Fruit flies require fruit, vegetables or other decaying organic material to complete the life cycle. You can get rid of the adult fruit flies with a contact spray, disposable fruit fly traps or fly lights.
