What is the best product on the market to combat Pecan Scab?

Answer:

The active ingredient Propiconazole is commonly used to treat Pecan Scab. We would recommend using HonorGuard PPZ Fungicide for your treatment. Please refer to label for detailed instructions. You may also contact your local Master Gardener in your county for assistance on your treatment. Directions for Mixing HonorGuard PPZ: Mix 8-12 fl. oz. of HonorGuard PPZ in 100 gallons of water and apply as a full coverage spray to the point of drip. Apply every 30 days beginning when conditions are favorable for disease development. For pecans, apply the 12 fl. oz. rate beginning at bud break. Do not apply to apple, cherry, citrus, nectarine, peach, pecan, plum, or walnut trees that will bear harvestable fruit within 12 months
