Kerry from Sunbury, Pa writes

When can I apply the Safari 20SG Insecticide in central PA?

I first found emerald ash borer activity in my trees at the beginning of this winter and activity is going on now. We have over a month before the leafs will come out, could I basal spray trees now or should I wait until leafs come out?

Answer:

Treatments should generally begin in early May to mid June and should be done every year to protect trees from the Emerald Ash Borers using a basal spray with Safari 20SG.
