Which is more effective for controlling ticks, Tekko Pro or Archer IGR?

Since both contain 1.3% Pryridine but Tekko also contains Novaluron - 1.3% which would you recommend? I already use Permethrin SFR from you as a contact killer.

Answer:

Tekko Pro IGR and Archer IGR are both labeled for ticks so they are both excellent options. The active ingredients in Tekko Pro IGR are the key behind behind the product's success, for two completely different reasons. Pripoxyfen is a juvenile hormone analog, which makes the pre-adult stage of the insect longer so that it dies before it can reproduce. Novaluron is a Chitin Sythesis Inhibitor, which stops the insect from being able to molt, making it more likely to die from outside influences. Archer IGR is different in the fact that it is photostable up to 14 days so it works in areas of direct sunlight. Both will essentially do the same thing.
