Why is Fertilome Over the Top II Grass Killer NOT for use on lawns but Vantage is?

I noticed that these two products are the same chemical with only the concentration being different. Why is this product (as well as the identical Hi-Yield product) labeled "not for use on lawns" and Vantage is specifically mentioned as an excellent product to control annual grasses in warm weather grasses? By using the same final concentration could I safely use them interchangeably?

Answer:

Actually neither the product label for the Hi-Yield Grass Killer or the Southern Ag Vantage Grass give instructions for using on a turf.  Hi Yield states on the product label that only Red Fescue, Chewings Fescue, Hard Fescue, and Dichondra Turfs are also tolerant to this product. Both the Hi-Yield version and the Fertilome Over the Top II Grass Killer are meant to be used over the top of vegetables, gardens, trees, shrubs, ornamentals and ground covers only.  Products should be used as directed on their respective product label and we would not advise of off label applications.
