Will Acclaim Extra Selective Herbicide control Johnson grass in a residential lawn of thin blade fescue?

Answer:

Acclaim Extra Selective Herbicide will control seedling Johnsongrass, and it will suppress rhizome Johnsongrass and is safe for use in fine fescue. Apply Acclaim Extra Herbicide at 20 fluid ounces per acre (0.46 fluid ounce/1000 sq. ft.) as soon as common Bermudagrass or rhizome Johnsongrass begins growth. Repeat applications of Acclaim Extra every 28 to 35 days to continue growth suppression of these species. Do not apply more than a total of 120 fluid ounces per acre (2.75 fluid ounces/1000 sq.ft.) per growing season. Please see the product label for complete application instructions.
