Nicholas from Delta Junction, Alaska writes

will pyrethrum work on killing carpenter ants?

Answer:

Evergreen Pyrethrum Concentrate is labeled in general for ants. According to the label you will mix 1/4 to 1/2 of a fluid ounce of Evergreen Pyrethrum Concentrate per gallon of water. We recommend using Dominion 2L when treating for Carpenter Ants as a perimeter spray.
For carpenter ants, use 0.6 fl. oz. per gallon of water to treat around the perimeter of a structure, concentrating on areas where pests may enter the structure. If you are seeing activity inside and outside the home, we recommend using our Carpenter Ant Kit #2.
