Tengard SFR Termiticide and Insecticide is labeled for adult root weevils but may help with red palm weevils if they come into contact with a treated area. Per the Tengard SFR product label: "Heavily infected trees should be cut down (before the newly hatched beetles fly out of the trees in the spring/summer) and the wood burned or chipped, while other still healthy trees should be sprayed annually to protect them. Apply to the trunk and foliage." Imidacloprid, which is the active ingredient in Dominion 2L, also appears to be effective as a systemic for preventing them. You would use the soil drench method. Per the instructions on the product label: "Apply 0.2 ounces per inch of trunk diameter uniformly as a drench around the base of the tree in not less than 10 gallons of water per 1000 square feet. Direct application to the root area. Remove plastic or any other barrier that will stop the solution from reaching the root zone."
