Bed Bug Kit #2

The Bed Bug Kit #2 provides you with the professional products necessary to do a complete bed bug treatment in your home or apartment. This kit has just the right balance of products to treat at least two rooms completely, plus enough to do the several follow-up treatments that are crucial to success. Unlike other kits you may find, the Do My Own Pest Control kits contain the most effective products available based on the most current research. This kit contains 1 x 8 oz. bottle of Cyonara 9.7 concentrate (makes 20 gallons), 1 x 10oz. bottle of PyGanic Dust with Pyrethrins, 1 hand dusting tool, 1 x 16 oz. can of Bedlam Bed Bug Spray, and 1 pint of Steri-Fab. Please read below for more information. This kit does not come with a one-gallon hand pump sprayer, but one is required to apply the Cyonara. You can add a sprayer below under recommended accessories.

This kit was put together using the most current research and it contains the most effective products on the market to rid you of a bedbug infestation. Each kit includes a copy of our five page bedbug guide to help you through the treatment process.

 

Why do I need to use so many different products?

It is important to treat the many different areas that bedbugs hide. Each product included in the kit has a specific function to help eliminate a bedbug infestation.

 

Kit Contents:

 

Cyonara 9.7 (8oz): is a concentrated liquid residual insecticide. Mix 0.4 fl oz of concentrate with a gallon of water. The finished solution should be applied with a one gallon hand sprayer as a coarse, low-pressure spray to harborage areas including crevices, baseboards, loose plaster, behind bed frames and headboards, beneath beds and furniture, and to bedsprings and bed frames. Residual effectiveness will last up to three months. Try to make direct contact with as many bedbugs as possible. This product will not kill Bedbug eggs.

***Do NOT apply to furniture surfaces or mattresses where people will be laying or sitting. Infested bedding should not be treated with insecticides, but should be removed, placed in sealed plastic bags, and taken for laundering and drying at high temperatures.***

 

PyGanic 1% Pyrehtrin Dust (10 oz. bottle): Dusts are great for applying under baseboards around the room,(this stops bedbugs from fleeing the room and spreading to other areas) for dusting on and inside the box spring itself, and for dusting in cracks and crevices where liquids may not go (such as in and behind picture frames, underneath furniture, in the cracks of dresser drawers, and in the joints cracks and hollow tubing of bed frames, etc). PyGanic Dust is best applied with the hand duster that is included with your kit. Apply in a fine coating on surfaces, and do not over-dust.  Leaving piles of dust will just cause the insect to walk around the dust and not through it.

 

Bellows Hand Duster: The bellows hand duster included with this kit should be used to apply the Drione dust to any cracks and crevices needed. By using the bellows hand duster you will be able to apply the correct amount of dust in the correct place.

 

Gentrol IGR (1oz): This product is an Insect Growth Regulator that prevents bed bugs from being able to reproduce, effectively stopping the breeding cycle of an infestation. Gentrol comes in a small brown bottle (1 oz.). Application: There are two ways to apply Gentrol IGR: (1) mix the 1 oz. bottle of Gentrol IGR with a gallon of the Cyonara/water solution so that you can spray both at the same time, or (2) add 1 oz of Gentrol to one gallon of water and using a gallon hand sprayer and apply in all the areas where you sprayed the Cyonara. DO NOT apply Gentrol IGR to bed linens or mattresses.

 

Bedlam (17 oz): While Bedlam works as well as a concentrated liquid it comes in a convenient aerosol spray that may be sprayed on areas that other products cannot. Bedlam may be used for spot treatments on mattresses, upholstered furniture, drawers, bed frames, carpeted areas, curtains… You may also use Bedlam to knock down fleeing bedbugs after initial treatment of other insecticides. Includes a straw tool for spraying into small cracks, crevices and other hiding places.

Steri-Fab: Steri-Fab is an alcohol based product that will evaporate after 10-20 minutes and leave no residual effect. Steri-Fab may be sprayed on almost any surface including those sensitive areas that you were not able to treat with other products.(Mattresses, sofas, bedding, dog beds, etc)  This product is one of the only products that recent research shows will kill bedbug eggs. Application: Spray in areas of bedbug activity, such as tufts and folds of mattresses, sofas, etc. (Steri-Fab must come in direct contact with bedbugs and bedbug eggs to be effective).

Recommended Accessories:

One Gallon Sprayer - If your kit comes with Cyonara Insecticide and/or Gentrol IGR we strongly recommend that you purchase a one gallon sprayer if you do not already have one. This sprayer makes mixing and applying liquid insecticides so much easier.
