How Cyper WP Insecticide Works
Cyper WP is a residual insecticide concentrate with the active ingredient Cypermethrin. Cypermethrin is in the synthetic pyrethroid class of insecticides. It is a man-made active ingredient that attacks the central nervous system of insects that come in contact with or ingest it. Cyper WP is diluted with water and applied with a gallon pump sprayer. After it dries, Cyper WP continues to work for up to 3 months.
Cyper WP Target Pests
A variety of crawling and flying pests including (but not limited to) ants, carpenter ants, cockroaches, crickets, scorpions, and spiders
PESTS CONTROLLED WITH CYPER WP: Ants, Bees, Boxelder Bugs, Carpenter Ants, Carpenter Bees, Centipedes, Chiggers, Cockroaches, Crickets, Earwigs, Elm Leaf Beetles, Fire Ants (mounds), Firebrats, Fleas, Flies, Millipedes, Mites, Mosquitoes, Pillbugs, Scorpions, Silverfish, Sod Webworms, Sowbugs, Spiders, Ticks, Termites (above ground only)
Target Uses of Cyper WP
Cyper WP (same as Demon WP and Cynoff WP) insecticide is a loose white powder that is mixed with water. It can be applied as a crack and crevice and/or spot treatment for residual and contact control of ants, bees, biting flies, boxelder bugs, centipedes, cockroaches, crickets, earwigs, elm leaf beetles, firebrats, fleas, flies, millipedes, mosquitoes, pillbugs, silverfish, sowbugs, spiders, ticks, and wasps.
Cyper WP has a residual of up to 3 months. 1 x 1lb. container of Cyper WP yields up to 48 gallons of finished product.
Cyper WP (Wettable Powder) is excellent for larger, tougher pests such as cockroaches, spiders, scorpions, or stink bugs because there is a high concentration of active ingredient. The wettable powder formulation also makes Cyper WP ideal for porous surfaces such as concrete since the individual particles of active ingredient are larger and can more easily stay on top of the surface.
*Cyper WP leaves a white powdery film that may be visible on darker surfaces. For applications where this is a concern, consider using a liquid concentrate instead.
ACTIVE INGREDIENT: Cypermethrin 40.0%
Cyper WP Application Instructions
Cyper WP is best applied with a 1 gallon sprayer. Apply to outside foundation and all entry points such as around windows, doors, cracks and crevices, etc. Cyper WP is very toxic to fish. Do not apply near bodies of water or where there may be water run-off. Always read the label completely before use.
Fill applicator tank with the desired volume of water and add Surrender brand Cyper WP Insecticide. Close and agitate before use in order to ensure proper use suspension of the wettable powder. Shake and reagitate application equipment before use if application is interrupted. Make up only amount of treatment volume as required. Do not store dilution in application equipment overnight.
Cyper WP will continue to work for 90 days indoors and 30 days outdoors. We recommend waiting at least 7 days between applications.
Each 1 pound jar of Cyper WP makes 24-48 gallons of finished solution.
Standard Application Dilution rates / Mixing Ratios for CYPER WP:
*1 scoop (0.33 oz.)/gal. of water – 0.1% – maintenance, more frequent applications, foliar applications
* 2 scoops (0.66 oz.)/gal. of water – 0.2% -- clean-out, severe infestations, exterior applications which receive greater direct sunlight, scorpions
*For Perimeter Barrier Applications around Structures – Mix 1-2 scoops of Cyper WP in 1-5 gallons of water to cover 800-1600 square feet. Higher volumes may be needed for dense vegetation or landscaping materials.
*1 scoop is the equivalent of 0.33 oz., 9.5 gm., or 2 level tablespoons

I've used Cyper WP in my home in northern KY. It was very effective and me and my neighbors on both sides of my house used this product at the same time. It works better when you can treat inside and outside of your home. It's a lot cheaper than an exterminator. I repeat treatment about every 3 months to prevent the bugs from coming back. Thank you very much, I can now sleep at night without worrying.

Cyper WP Works Great
By Jim in Victoria Tx on 06/06/2010
Our Ranch house was infested with scorpions. We were advised Cyper WP would do the trick. We literally counted about 40 dead ones after the application and have seen only one or two that were acting very sickly. This stuff works. It actually has killed everything that crawls or flies when that pest comes in contact with it. I will be ordering more in quantity for friends and family. Thank You for having a bulk discount.

The best I ever used
By George on 08/03/2006
Starting in 2005 I noticed late evening every night on my patio carpet several black bugs and identified them as Oriental cockroaches. In March of 2006, it became terrible. A friend looked on his computer and found that Niban bait was recommended. He gave me your number. My first conversation was with Michael and he recommended Cyper WP with the Niban. He told me to remember that Niban was a bait and not to use the Cyper WP near the Niban. I used a 3 gallon watering can with 4 scoops of Cyper WP, mixed good, to eliminate the nest which was in a long crack in our side walk, adjacent to our patio. I soaked the entire patio carpet, and the entire perimeter of our house. I put the Niban bait, sparingly, not closer than 25' to our sun room and patio. This type of cockroach loves water. I removed my landscaping bark which was always wet from watering flowers. I have since ordered 4 Cyper WP. It has been a good month and a half with NO black water cockroaches in our sun room. Once in a while I will find one on our patio carpet, on his back dead. The Cyper WP in also good for killing ants. The best I ever used. I have 1/2 acre of land so sometimes its a struggle. Thank you for all of your help.

Does exactly what it said it would do. I had a very bad spider (Brown Recluse and Wolf) problem inside and outside the house, within a day I saw no more living spiders in my house, period. Word of caution, pay attention to what it says about if you have dark floors. I do have dark floors and it leaves a very noticeable white residue. They have others for inside the house that are clear, i just didn't read thoroughly. Great Product.

Cyper WP Review
By Jim in Utah on 07/17/2010
Seems to be doing the job on black widows and scorpions. Strangely, more scorpions were seen indoors after first application but they were asking to be taken to the ER. Leaves a slight residue, which is the whole idea with the powder, but it's not objectionable and can be wiped/washed off if need be.

Kills Brown Recluse Spiders
By Megan in Boonville, IN on 08/25/2011
If you have brown recluse in your home, you know how unnerving it is to always be finding them in unexpected places. And there is always the fear of them getting in your bedsheets and you roll over them at night and get bitten. My deepest fear, however, was for my rambunctious 2 year old daughter and my cat who likes to play with bugs. My husband and I can be mindful, but our daughter is curious and clumsy as any 2 year old and she is always getting into things. Her toy area is also cluttered, which makes for a great place for these little buggers to hide. I have seen them in her play area and it is very unsettling. After a lot of online searching, I finally found this product and decided we would give it a try. This company has great service and very fast shipping. My husband sprayed it on Monday of this week and it is now Thursday. We used to see at least one a day crawling around somewhere (some days up to four or five). Now we have not seen any unless they are DEAD. The stuff definitely kills brown recluse spiders. Just remember to use a double dose for them when you mix the powder as they are harder to kill than most other insects. Great stuff! Excellent solution for dealing with brown recluse! We will continue to purchase this for preventing them from invading our house!

Cyper WP Wipes Out the Bugs
By Dale in Durand, IL on 10/28/2010
The outside of my house was crawling with box elder bugs, like something out of a horror movie. One treatment with Cyper WP and "problem solved." There were literally thousands of the creepy critters lying all over the place. And what a difference in price.......instead of spending $150 with the local pest control people for one treatment, which is what I've done in past years, I will get dozens of treatments for a mere $36.90. It's a no-brainer.

this product will exceed all you expectations and get the job done, just like it clams.you will not be disappointed. it works great, we live in Wisconsin, and have had box elder bugs every fall. when i seen this web site i was skeptical just like anyone who has tried countless items to rid their home if box elder bugs, and many other bugs as well. i figured i would give it a try. i followed the directions and applied the spray to our home and about 6 ft out on the lawn around our home, and to our surprise these bugs were dropping dead daily. we did spray 2 to 3 times again, when we seen a few bugs hanging around, but with in a week, they were all gone. i suggest doing this easy task your self, instead of hiring a service. I'm sure you will be saving yourself a lot of money, and at the same time have your own personal satisfaction.

Cyper WP (STINK BUG KILLER)
By Mark on 10/11/2010
Cyper WP: I have been using this Product for 2 years now for the main control of Stink Bugs here in Virginia. This year the Stink bugs are out of control. The only product I use is Cyper WP. It Kills them in 48 hrs or less. It is not a contact killer, but works on them very well. No more nights of killing stink bugs before my kids can go to bed. Cyper WP does it for me. I use Delta Dust in my attic for a bonus kill for the winter months. Give it a try. Also, www.Domyownpestcontrol.com is an awesome place to get your hard to find bug supplies. And there customer support is #1. Thanks guys, I am a loyal customer.

Cyper WP works!
By Jeff in Savannah, GA on 09/26/2010
This stuff works great. I've tried many products and this works the best. Just mix in sprayer and go. I used to pay an exterminator $30.00 a month to come to my house and spray. Turns out he was spraying Demon WP which is just a name brand for the same stuff here. Now I do it myself, save $30.00 a month and have the satisfaction of knowing it's done right without having to worry about being home for the bug man or what day he is supposed to come, writing a check, wondering where he sprayed, etc. It's too easy! KILLS BUGS FAST!! Residue keeps killing for weeks! You won't be disappointed.

Cyper WP is the best!
By Randy in Vacaville, CA on 08/09/2010
I live in the country in outside of Sac. CA and this stuff works great. Spray around the house and shop every 2-3 months, nothing comes in. Nothing from the stores work like this on ants or spiders. Black widows hit the floor doing the fish dance!!! Works better than anything I have found.

After emailing for some advice from your company I purchased the Cyper WP on the advice because the wettable powder would probably be more effective against my spider problem. I watched the video on your website and treated my house accordingly. It seem to work great because I've not seen any bugs or spiders since then. My wife had received a brown recluse bite which was frightening, so the war was on. So far looks like I'm winning. Thanks for the help!!!

Cyper is the Best!
By Mike in Choctaw, OK on 04/28/2010
I own a mobile home park and the wasps WERE terrible this year. I was getting tired of wasting money on lots of cans of wasp spray and only killing some of them and making the rest of them mad! So I found this great place to order some good Cyper WP. I mixed some up and hesitantly went to start using it and was very surprised at how safe it was to use. I expected to spray and run, but as I sprayed I noticed that the wasps weren't dying instantly but were stunned and they didn't even come after me! Now after about 2 weeks, all the areas I sprayed are wasp free. I am now a fan of using this for wasp control. I paid $36.90 for enough to make about 24 gallons for wasp control which will last me a long time. For the same amount of money I could buy about 6-7 cans of wasp spray which would not last very long. Highly recommend using Cyper WP, especially for the price from this site which is cheaper than other places.

Arachnophobic in North Texas

To put it simply, I hate spiders. Unfortunately, my area is home to quite a few of them, some dangerous, some not. This product has significantly reduced the number of spiders (and insects) in and around my home. Highly recommended!

QCan you please explain the difference between Demon WP and Cyper WP?
AThere is no difference between Cyper WP and Demon WP other than the fact that Cyper WP is half the price for the same size as Demon WP. They both contain the same active ingredient and perform the same. Demon WP is the name brand, the first one made, by Syngenta. Cyper WP is a generic version made by a different company called Control Solutions. Just like there are about 10 different brands of aspirin at the grocery store that all do the same thing, pest control products are the same way and there can be multiple manufacturers that essentially make the same product.
QHow many scoops of Cyper WP should be mixed per gallon of water?
Hi. This is my first time using Cyper WP and I have the one pound container. It came with a scooper, but the package does not state anywhere on how much to use. I am guessing that it is one scoop per gallon. But I do NOT want to guess, so that is why I am asking you how many scoops per gallon?
AEach jar of Cyper WP comes with a full product label attached to the the jar. If you take a close look, you will see that you can peel off the label and there is a direction booklet attached. Cyper WP does come with a scooper and you do use one or two level scoops per gallon. Most of the common pests require 1 scoop per gallon of water. If you are treating carpenter ants, carpenter bees, cockroaches, fire ants, scorpions, spiders, ticks or wasps, then you need to use 2 scoops per gallon of water.
QIs Cyper WP safe to use on a lawn with pets and dogs?
I want to use Cyper WP due to having a lot of spiders at my house. We have found brown widows with their "spikey" eggs. We also have black widows and common house spiders. We have 2 dogs that stay outside and are known to lick, chew and dig in most places. Is it safe to apply Cyper WP in the backyard where the dogs are if I let it dry before putting the dogs back out?
AYes, Cyper WP is perfectly safe to apply around pets and/or children. When you are applying the product you should do exactly as you suggest, which is keep the pets inside or if applying inside in another room until the product dries. After it dries which is usually about 30 minutes, it is perfectly safe to allow pets entry back into the yard or living space.
QI have spiders in and on my house. Which product is better for killing them, Cyper WP or Demon WP?
ACyper WP is the generic of Demon WP. Both products contain the same active ingredient in the same concentration. Cypermethrin, the active ingredient in both Cyper WP and Demon WP, is known to be one of the most effective active ingredients for spiders and other hard to kill insects. You might also want to check out our spider control kit, which comes with all the products you need to effectively control spiders.
QWill Cyper WP kill crazy raspberry ants?
A Cyper WP will kill any type of ant that you physically spray it on, but the problem with most ants is that the colony is somewhere else. If you want to get rid of the problem for good you have to get rid of the colony, which is the source of the issue. We sell a Rasberry/ Carribbean Crazy Ant Kit that has been very popular for these crazy rasberry ants and it includes Termidor SC. Termidor SC does not kill the ants right away, but it allows them to walk over the barrier you apply around your home, and the ants end up taking the product back to the colony where it spreads like a plague. It works like a liquid bait. Residents of Texas have been very successful with this product. http://www.domyownpestcontrol.com/crazy-ants-c-1_528.html

QDoes Cyper WP Kill or put them to sleep?
I used the product yesterday and last night there were dead roaches outside everywhere. I went to clean up today after work and it seems like there weren't as many dead Roaches around, although still pleased with the results. It was windy today also, so its possible they blew away with the wind. Does this product kill the Roaches or just put them to sleep for a while? I noticed some of the roaches woke up when i was cleaning the area up. - Thank you
ACyper WP does in fact kill the insects. It is a slower kill so you may notice them at the end stage prior to death and some erratic movements can be observed, but it won't be long before they die.

QInside alternative to Cyper WP
I have been using Cyper WP for pest control for years now. We just had hardwood floors installed and the Cyper WP leaves a white residue all over it. Is there a recommended inside alternative to Cyper WP I can use?
09/24/2013 Phoebe from Dallas, Tx
QCan I use 1 scoop of Cyper WP per gallon of water to kill spiders?
ACyper WP should be mixed 2 scoops per gallon per 1,000 sq ft for spider control. It will be applied with a pressurized pump sprayer. Any remaining solution should be discarded after 24 hours of mixing the product.
06/27/2012 John from Fl
QI lost my Cyper WP scooper. How much does the scooper hold?
AOne Cyper WP scoop is 0.33 oz. (9.5 gm.) which is equivalent to 2 level tablespoons.
QHow many gallons of Cyper WP per 1 lb container at a 2 scoops per gallon concentrate?
Or did I miss this somewhere?
AAt a 2 scoop of product per gallon of water usage rate you will be able to make 24 gallons of diluted solution.
QWhat product can I use in a back pack sprayer that will kill wasps along with spiders?
I would like a product that will also leave a residue to keep them away for a while.
ACyper WP would be a great choice for indoor and outdoor spider and wasp control. The active ingredient in Cyper WP is cypermethrin, which is known to be one of the top choices for spiders and other hard to kill insects. Spraying Cyper WP will also help to get rid of the insects that spiders and most wasps feed on and that will help to stop new spiders and wasps from moving in. Indoors, spray around all baseboards, door frames, window frames, under appliances, in closets and storage rooms and in areas where utilities enter into the structure. Outdoors you should spray around the bottom of the foundation, on the ground adjacent to the foundation, door frames, window frames and places where the utilities enter into the structure. We have included Cyper in our spider control kit, which also contains glue boards to help monitor the infestation (and help catch the spiders too) and Cobweb Eliminator to make the places where the spiders like to build webs unsuitable for them.
QMy house is infested with brown recluse spiders, what is the best product to use to kill these spiders?
AEven though Brown Recluse spiders are very scary to have in your house, they are no harder to get rid of than any other spider. The hardest part of getting rid of the brown recluse is finding them since they like to remain hidden. Cyper WP would be a great choice for indoor and outdoor spider control. QWhat can I use to get rid of spiders indoor?
I use Cyper WP for outdoor use. We have some small black spiders. What is safe around people?
A Cyper WP can be used indoors and outdoors for spider control. When treating indoors be sure that all pets and other people are out of the application area and they can return as soon as the area is dry. The Cyper WP product label recommends 2 scoops of product per gallon of water, sprayed directly into cracks and crevices, under appliances, around door frames and window frames and in places where utilities (cables, pipes, wires) enter into the structure. We have recently added a spider control kit to our website that includes Cyper WP, Cobweb Eliminator and glue boards. Using Cobweb eliminator will help discourage spiders from forming webs on the surfaces that have been sprayed and the glue boards will help trap wandering spiders and help monitor problem areas.

QDoes Cyper WP kill scorpions?
AYes, in fact Cyper WP is one of our most popular products for killing scorpions. You should use the higher concentration (2 scoops per gallon) when spraying for scorpions outside because you need an extra punch for scorpions and large roaches.
QWill Cyper WP control scorpions in Arizona?
A Yes, this product is one of our best sellers for scorpions. Cyper WP comes with a scooper inside which you can use to mix one or two scoops with a gallon of water in your hand pump sprayer. For scorpions you need to pack a punch, so we recommend using 2 scoops per gallon of water. Apply around the foundation of the home outside once a month. This will keep a good residual present and you will see a huge difference with your scorpion issue. Even though this product packs a punch for scorpions, it is perfectly safe to have children and pets in the yard after the spray dries. It is only strong enough to kill smaller bugs and insects. Below is a great article on the control of scorpions.
